Classic Legends has introduced the new Jawa 42 FJ in India, priced between Rs 1.99 lakh and Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom). While bookings for the new Jawa bike have already commenced nationwide, deliveries will begin in the coming weeks. It’s essentially a more powerful and sportier version of the regular Jawa 42. Compared to the base Jawa 42, it’s nearly Rs 26,000 more expensive.
The entry-level dual-channel ABS Spoke variant comes in the Aurora Green Matte Spoke color, priced at Rs 1,99,142. The Aurora Green Matte, Mystique Copper, Cosmo Blue Matte, Deep Black Matte Black Clad, and Deep Black Matte Red Clad shade variants are offered at Rs 2,10,142, Rs 2,15,142, Rs 2,15,142, Rs 2,20,142, and Rs 2,20,142, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The new Jawa 42 FJ is powered by a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Alpha2 engine, claimed to deliver a maximum power of 21.45 bhp and 29.62 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The suspension setup of the new Jawa bike includes a 41mm telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The model derives its braking power from 320mm front and rear disc brakes, which are further assisted by dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).
The Jawa 42 FJ carries a modern-retro design language. The bike shares its platform with the Jawa 350 and most of its design elements with the Jawa 42. It’s the first bike in its segment to come with anodized, brushed aluminum fuel tank cladding, along with aluminum headlamp holders, grab handles, and footpegs. The bike also features an offset fuel cap and a wide, flat seat with premium stitching.
Some of its other key features include an all-LED lighting package, upswept exhaust, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a USB charging port. The new Jawa bike has a 1,440mm long wheelbase and a segment-leading 178mm ground clearance.
