Hyundai Motor India will announce the prices of the updated Alcazar three-row SUV on 9th September. Bookings for the SUV are already underway nationwide with a token sum of Rs 25,000. A few cosmetic changes have been made to the SUV, including a bigger front grille with horizontal slats, H-shaped LED DRLs connected via a light bar, silver highlights on the bumpers, newly designed 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, and new full-width taillamps with an ‘H’ motif. Inside, there will be a new dual-tone theme, dual 10.25-inch screen setup, cooled rear seats, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS. No changes will be made to its powertrain settings.

MG Windsor EV

MG Motor India is all set to cash in on the Diwali season with its new electric offering – the Windsor EV. It will be the first product to come under the MG and JSW joint venture. The MG Windsor EV is essentially a rebadged version of the China-spec Wuling Air EV, measuring nearly 4.3 meters in length. Sitting on a wheelbase of 2,700mm, the electric crossover will come with a 5-seat configuration. The model is built on a born-electric platform and will feature the segment’s largest 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a Comet-inspired digital instrument cluster. The Windsor EV will also be the first vehicle in its segment to offer fully reclining front seats – called ‘sofa mode’ – and the first mass-market car to come with a panoramic glass roof. It’s expected to be offered with 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh battery packs, promising ranges of 360km and 460km, respectively.

New Kia Carnival/EV9

2024 Kia Carnival

Kia India will introduce the fourth-generation Carnival MPV and its flagship SUV, the EV9, on 3rd October 2024. Both models will come via the CBU route, with expected prices around Rs 50 lakh and above Rs 1 crore, respectively. Most updates will be limited to the exterior and interior of the new Carnival. It’s already quite a well-equipped car with features such as dual 12.3-inch displays, HUD, front and rear dash cameras, and a digital rearview mirror. Kia will also update its digital key with fingerprint recognition. It will retain the existing 2.2L diesel engine. The Kia EV9 electric SUV has been designed on the born-electric e-GMP flexible skateboard platform. Globally, it’s available with three powertrains – two single-motor RWD and one dual-motor with AWD.

New-Gen Maruti Dzire

2024 New Maruti Dzire

Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire compact sedan is ready to enter its fourth generation during this Diwali season. The model will see evolutionary design changes along with a more feature-packed interior and an all-new Z-Series petrol engine. Its styling will differ from the new Swift, especially in the rear section. However, both models will share multiple sheet metal parts and the same platform. Similar to the Swift hatch, the 2024 Maruti Dzire will borrow most of its interior features from the Fronx. It will come with a first-in-segment single-pane sunroof. For power, the new Dzire will use the Z-Series 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The carmaker will also introduce a CNG fuel option for the Dzire at a later stage.
