Nissan India currently has two offerings in its product portfolio – the Magnite subcompact SUV and the newly-launched X-Trail three-row SUV. On the upcoming 4th of October, the Japanese automaker is set to introduce the updated Nissan Magnite, which has been spotted multiple times (heavily camouflaged) during test rounds. The new model is expected to receive minimal changes inside and out, while the engine setup is likely to be retained.
Previous spy images suggest that the 2024 Nissan Magnite will feature a slightly revised front grille and bumper. While the headlamp assembly will remain similar to the existing model, the LED DRLs will have a new design element. The newly-designed alloy wheels are expected to refresh its side profile.
No significant updates are expected inside the cabin either. The new Magnite could come with updated upholstery and trims. The higher trims of the subcompact SUV are already well-equipped with features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with trip and eco-driving information, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition control, keyless entry and go, a rearview camera with parking guidelines, height-adjustable driver seat, Nissan Connect, air purifier, JBL speakers, ambient mood lighting, wireless phone charger, a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
As mentioned, the new 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift will continue to use the 1.0L naturally aspirated and 1.0L turbo petrol engines. The NA unit delivers a claimed power of 72bhp and 96Nm of torque, while the turbocharged motor produces 100bhp and 160Nm. The gearboxes will also be carried forward to the facelifted model, that means the new Magnite will be available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT transmission.
Nissan’s Oragadam-based facility serves as a production hub for the Magnite, catering to both domestic and right-hand-drive (RHD) export markets. The updated model will also be produced for left-hand-drive (LHD) markets.
