Tollywood star hero NTR’s action drama Devara is one of the most awaited biggies of the year. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film stars Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film will open in theaters worldwide on September 27. Needless to say, the hype and expectations for this film are sky-high among fans and trade circles. Deora is one of the costliest projects of NTR’s career, and it is known that this prestigious film was bought for around Rs 42 crores in Nizam area.
More than 200 crores theatrical business was done in Telugu states. To give a special boost to the film and recover a major chunk of the huge investment, Deora makers have appealed to the Telangana government for special permission to increase the ticket prices in the state. It seems that Deora producers Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Mikkilineni Sudhakar and Kosaraju Harikrishna have sought permission to increase the ticket price of 12 AM (Midnight) shows to Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 for 4 AM (morning) shows. It is estimated that the entire movie ticket prices for the first week will be around Rs 295. And it remains to be seen whether the government will grant the necessary permission to the makers.
