After completing a historic successful mission, the SpaceX capsule carrying four private citizens splashed down on Sunday on the coast of Florida.
The mission, which included the world’s first all civilian spacewalk, returned to Earth after being five days in orbit and featured a commercial spacewalk. The return to Earth was live streamed by Elon Musk anchored SpaceX.

The mission, bankrolled by billionaire entrepreneur Jared Isaacman who was also on the flight, also included retired Air Force Lt. Col. Scott “Kidd” Poteet and SpaceX engineers Sarah Gillis and Anna Menon.
In a post on X, on the completion of the mission, Polaris posted, “SpaceX and the Polaris Dawn crew have completed the first commercial spacewalk! “SpaceX, back at home we all have a lot of work to do, but from here, Earth sure looks like a perfect world,” — Mission Commander Jared Isaacman during Dragon egress and seeing our planet from ~738 km.”

According to PTI, Isaacman became only the 264th person to perform a spacewalk since the former Soviet Union scored the first in 1965, and SpaceX’s Sarah Gillis the 265th. As until now, the concept of spacewalk was reserved for professional astronauts.
