Upfront, the compact sedan will feature a newly designed grille, revised headlamps with horizontally integrated DRLs, and an updated bumper. Save for the newly designed alloy wheels, the side profile is likely to remain unchanged. Previous spy images reveal that the new Maruti Dzire will have redesigned taillamps extending upward. With the generational update, it may also come with new color options.

Earlier, the 2024 Maruti Dzire was spotted with an electric sunroof, a first-in-segment feature. This will also make it the most affordable compact sedan in the country to offer such a feature. Other likely features include a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display (HUD), an ARKAMYS sound system, an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID, new HVAC controls, rear AC vents, a 360-degree camera, and automatic climate control.

Powering the new 2024 Maruti Dzire will be the brand’s new 1.2L, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, which also powers the Swift hatchback. This naturally aspirated motor delivers a maximum power of 82bhp and 112Nm of torque. It will also make the Dzire the most fuel-efficient car in its segment. Transmission options will include the familiar 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearboxes. The carmaker will also introduce a CNG version of the Dzire at a later stage.

The Indo-Japanese automaker is set to launch its first-ever electric car in January 2025. Based on the Maruti eVX concept, the model is expected to come with a 60kWh battery pack and an electric motor. Its range is anticipated to be around 500km on a full charge. The eVX will feature an AWD drivetrain system and will be built on an all-new architecture derived from Toyota’s 40PL electric skateboard platform.
