Specifications of the new Kia Carnival MPV have been revealed for the Indian market, where it is set to go on sale on 3rd October 2024. Bookings for the model are already underway with a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. The South Korean automaker will also announce the prices of its new flagship EV9 electric SUV on the same day. The new Carnival, which will be brought via the CBU route, will be available in two variants – Limousine and Limousine Plus. Its prices are expected to exceed Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Featuring Kia’s new design language, the 2024 Kia Carnival sports the signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille and vertically positioned LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs. The C-pillar has a silver chrome insert connected by chrome garnish at the bottom of the rear windscreen. Similar to the previous model, the new one features L-shaped taillamps connected via an LED light bar. The luxury MPV is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will have two monotone color options – Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl.

The new Kia Carnival comes with two dual-tone interior themes – Tuscan and Umber, and Navy and Misty Gray. It offers a 7-seat layout as standard, along with features such as dual 12.3-inch curved displays, a HUD, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, three-zone climate control, dual electric sunroofs, a 4-spoke steering wheel, and powered sliding rear doors. Adding to its comfort are a 12-way powered driver’s seat, adjustable leg support for the middle row, and second-row captain seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The safety kit of the new Carnival includes 8 airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability management, hill assist control, electronic stability control, front, rear, and side parking sensors, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and more.

Under the hood, the 2024 Kia Carnival will continue to feature a 2.2L, 4-cylinder diesel engine delivering 193bhp and 441Nm of torque. Compared to its previous version, the new model is 7bhp less powerful but has 1Nm more torque. It retains the 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and FWD setup.
