Maruti Suzuki India has a handful of new products for the Indian market. The Indo-Japanese automaker will not only foray into the EV space early next year, but it will also expand its model lineup across different price ranges, along with updating its existing offerings. Maruti Suzuki cars have always been known for their fuel efficiency, handling, and affordability. Aiming to attract buyers, the company plans to introduce five new models under the price of Rs 10 lakh, including the new-gen Dzire, updated Fronx, a new compact MPV, a new micro SUV, and the next-generation Baleno.
The all-new Maruti Dzire, which will go on sale in the coming months, will feature significantly revised design, interior, and engine mechanisms. The compact sedan will use the Swift’s 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine (82bhp/112Nm) with manual and AMT gearboxes. It will also be available with a CNG fuel option. One of the major feature upgrades will be the inclusion of an electric sunroof, along with a host of new features.
The Maruti Fronx facelift is planned for launch in 2025. With its first mid-life update, the crossover will receive the company’s new strong hybrid system, which is currently in its development phase. Minimal changes are expected in its design and interior.
Maruti Suzuki will introduce the Japan-spec Spacia-based compact MPV by 2026. Codenamed YDB, the model will feature a boxy silhouette and upright stance, with a three-row seating arrangement. It is likely to benefit from the brand’s new hybrid technology. In the company’s product lineup, the new Maruti compact MPV will sit below the Ertiga and XL6. Under the hood, it might feature the 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine that powers the Swift hatchback.
Furthermore, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will fill a gap in its existing SUV lineup with a new micro SUV, codenamed Y43. This entry-level SUV is expected to hit the market in 2026-27. It will be Maruti Suzuki’s answer to the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.
The new-generation Maruti Baleno is under development and will be among the upcoming Maruti Suzuki cars to benefit from the brand’s own strong hybrid system. The all-new Baleno hatchback is expected to hit the roads in 2026.
