Maruti Suzuki WagonR, one of India’s top-selling cars, has received a new special edition ahead of the festive season. Called the Maruti WagonR Waltz, the limited edition comes with a few cosmetic enhancements and additional features over the regular model. It is available in three variants – LXi, VXi, and ZXi – priced from Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). All three variants of the limited edition can be equipped with either a 1.0L or a 1.2L petrol engine. Both engines benefit from DualJet, cooled EGR (exhaust gas recirculation), Dual VVT (variable valve timing), and ISS (idle start-stop) technology. These not only improve fuel efficiency but also reduce carbon emissions. While the 1.0L petrol unit delivers a maximum power of 67bhp, the 1.2L engine produces 90bhp.
Buyers also have the option of a CNG variant. Transmission duties are handled by the same 5-speed manual and AMT units. Similar to the regular model, the WagonR limited edition delivers a claimed mileage of 25.19kmpl (1.0L AMT), 24.43kmpl (1.2L AMT), and 34.05km per kg (CNG).
So, what’s new or special about the Maruti WagonR Waltz edition? This limited edition features a chrome front grille, bumper protectors, fog lamp assembly with garnish, wheel arch cladding, body side molding, and side skirts. The WagonR Waltz also comes with new floor mats, a 6.2-inch touchscreen music system, a reverse parking camera, and a security system. Its standard safety kit includes dual airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and hill hold control.
