The next day afternoon the service advisor from the service center called me, listened to my complaint and said it’s normal.

Hello! I would like to explain my harrowing experience with my EV MAX. I bought this car in September 2022 and was quite happy with the car. I have done 33k kms on my car till date with mixed highway driving. It is a wonderful experience driving the car except for the suspension clicking noises, which no one is able to solve.
Recently, I was driving back from a function and my car hit 9% battery. I was just about 4 kms to reach home. Then after reaching 8% battery after 1 km of hill climb in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, the HV Critical failure alert showed up and asked me to stall the car. I drove for about another 1 km and the car fell into neutral and stalled. Luckily I could pull to the side of the road. I switched off the car waited for a few seconds and switched it on. It started all normally and I drove till I reached home and just a few metres away did the alert pop back. I could drive the car into my compound and park it.
Again after full charge which the car took upto 99% in 8 hrs of time (normally will take 5.30hr from 15-100%) on a 7.2KW home charger. After disconnection and rest for another 30 mins, the display showed 100% charge. This time I reached home with 12% charging remaining. I got a call from a hospital and thought its just 8 kms away and I can drive to and forth with 3-4% battery remaining and that shouldn’t be an issue. On my return journey with still 8% battery remaining and about 5 kms to reach home, the same alert is back and after about 500 meters, the car came into limp mode and drove at 20kmph then to 10kmph and finally stalled. It did not respond to switch off and on technique.
Second time
First time
I called up the emergency breakdown helpline at about 8pm and they noted down the issue and promise to arrange for a tow truck. But I did not get a call back until 11.30pm when he asked me directions and requested for a location. He then drove about 2 kms ahead from where the car was parked in Madhapur. By the time I took his location and navigated him to my location it was past midnight.
The next day afternoon the service advisor from the service center call me, listened to my complaint and said it’s normal and told me that it’s normal if you get that alter if you go down 10% charge and nothing to worry. That reply left me awestrucked.!! Told him that it’s not the first time it went below 10% and that I drove the car 4-5 times till it reached 2-3% battery and never had faced such issues. I also read online about HV Critical alert and it’s a serious issue. He then promised me to get back.
Today after Independence day holiday visited the service center that is about 14kms away from my home where the car was towed away. He did a charging cycle and was doing the second and noted that cell balancing mechanism is out of order and may need some more tests to run. If found faulty, they will order a new battery and replace it. Till then he asked me to run the car cautiously.
Waiting for the final reply and hand me over the car.
