Tata Motors’ top-selling Nexon model lineup has received a major boost with the launch of the new CNG variant and Dark variants along with updates for the Nexon.ev. The Tata Nexon CNG is now available in eight variants – Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+ and Fearless+ PS – priced at Rs 8.99 lakh, Rs 9.69 lakh, Rs 9.99 lakh, Rs 10.69 lakh, Rs 10.99 lakh, Rs 11.69 lakh, Rs 12.19 lakh and Rs 14.59 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.
The Nexon CNG comes with several segment-first features including a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation, a panoramic sunroof with voice assistance, ventilated front seats and, a touch-based climate control unit. For safety provisionthe Tata Nexon CNG offers 6 airbags as standard along with the rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, a 360 degree camera, ABS and EBD, an electronic stability program, tyre pressure monitoring system, Isofix child seat mounts, auto-dimming IRVMs and a rear de-fogger. Its CNG kit gets leak detection protection, thermal incident protection and fire protection device.
Here’s the variant-wise features of the new Tata Nexon CNG.
Similar to Tata’s other CNG model, the Nexon iCNG features the brand’s Dual Cylinder Technology with the 1.2L turbo petrol engine. It becomes the first CNG SUV in India to come with the turbocharged motor. Tata’s Twin Cylinder Tech includes two CNG cylinder placed into the boot floor with a combined capacity of 60-litres. In CNG mode, the setup delivers a claimed power of 99bhp and 170Nm of torque. Transmission duties are performed by a 6-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of pricing, the Nexon CNG goes head-to-head against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG along with other CNG models such as Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Exter, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
