TVS Motor Company has launched a new entry-level variant of the Raider 125 commuter bike, featuring front and rear drum brakes. Positioned below the single-disc variant, the new drum version is priced at Rs 84,469 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in two color schemes – Wicked Black and Striking Red. The new, more affordable variant is equipped with a 130mm drum brake instead of the 240mm disc brake offered on other variants. The bike also comes with CBS (combined braking system).
No other changes have been made to the bike. It still features an LED headlight, an LCD instrument cluster, and ride modes. Powering the new TVS Raider 125 drum variant is the same 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 11.4bhp and 11.2Nm of torque.
The indigenous two-wheeler maker has also reduced the prices of the TVS Ronin ahead of the festive season. Its base variant, Ronin SS, has become more affordable by up to Rs 15,000, and is now priced at Rs 1,35,000. However, all other variants of the bike, including DS, TD, and TD – Special Edition, continue to be priced at Rs 1,56,700, Rs 1,68,950, and Rs 1,72,700, respectively. The TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, 4V, SOHC, oil-cooled engine that delivers a maximum power of 20.4PS and 19.93Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox.
