October will mark the beginning of this year’s festive season. Aiming to increase buyer footfall, OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Kia, Nissan, and BYD are ready to launch their new products while offering alluring discounts on their existing model lineups. Let’s take a look at the key details of the upcoming cars that will hit showrooms in October 2024.

The South Korean automaker will announce the prices of the new Kia Carnival (a facelift of its fourth generation) and the flagship EV9 electric SUV on 3rd October 2024. The Carnival will receive noticeable changes inside and out, while its engine setup will remain unchanged. It will be offered in two variants – Limousine and Limousine Plus – with an expected price of over ₹50 lakh. With the update, the MPV will be available only in a 7-seat configuration. The middle row will have captain seats, and the third row will feature a bench-type arrangement. Under the hood, the new Carnival will have the same 2.2L, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 193bhp and 441Nm.
Kia EV9 – 3rd Oct

The Kia EV9 will be the most expensive offering from the South Korean automaker in India. It will be available as a top-end GT-Line AWD, 6-seater variant only. It will feature a 99.8kWh battery pack and dual electric motors, delivering 384bhp and 700Nm of torque. The SUV will come with an AWD setup and claims an ARAI-certified range of 561km on a full charge. Its battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes using a DC fast charger. In terms of features, it will be well-equipped with a dual-display setup, HUD, dual electric sunroofs, a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, 10 airbags, VSM, Level 2 ADAS, and much more.
Nissan Magnite Facelift – 4th Oct

Nissan India will reveal the prices of the Magnite facelift on 4th October 2024. With the facelift, the carmaker will begin producing and exporting its LHD (left-hand drive) version. The RHD (right-hand drive) Magnite is already being manufactured and exported. Minimal changes are expected inside and out. The subcompact SUV will feature a slightly revised front grille, new LED DRLs, tweaked headlamps, and new diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, there might be new trims, seat upholstery, and a few additional features. The updated Magnite will continue to be powered by the 72bhp 1.0L NA engine and the 100bhp 1.0L turbo petrol engine.
BYD eMax 7 – 8th Oct

The WORLD eMax 7, a heavily updated version of the e6 electric MPV, will hit the roads on 8th October 2024. The model will come with a three-row seating layout and more advanced technology. It will feature an ADAS suite, a fixed panoramic glass roof, more premium switchgear, soft-touch materials, and a revised center console with faux wood and aluminum inserts. Globally, the eMax 7 is available with 55.4kWh and 71.8kWh batteries, offering claimed ranges of 420km and 530km, respectively. The former delivers 163bhp and 310Nm of torque, while the latter produces 204bhp and 310Nm.
Mercedes E-Class LWB – 9th Oct

The market launch of the Mercedes E-Class LWB will take place on 9th October 2024. Compared to its predecessor, the new-gen model will be 14mm longer, 13mm taller, and have a 15mm longer wheelbase. The vehicle will undergo comprehensive cosmetic changes. Inside, the major highlight will be the Mercedes Superscreen, featuring a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger touchscreen, and a digital instrument cluster. Buyers will have three interior color options, with a standard black dashboard. Key features include a 4D surround sound system by Burmester, a driver’s seat with memory function, and a backrest that reclines between 26 and 36 degrees. The engine lineup will include a 204bhp 2.0L turbo petrol engine and a 197bhp 2.0L turbo diesel engine, both equipped with a 48V mild hybrid system offering an additional 23bhp and 205Nm. Transmission duties will be handled by a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
New-Gen Maruti Dzire

The new-generation Maruti Dzire is set for release in October, although the launch date is yet to be announced. The design of the compact sedan will be entirely distinct from the Swift hatchback. One of the major upgrades will be the addition of an electric sunroof. The higher trims of the new Dzire are expected to come with features such as a 9-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID, and a climate control system. Powering the 2024 Maruti Dzire will be the Swift’s 1.2L three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine, delivering 82bhp and 112Nm. Both manual and AMT gearboxes will be available.
