TVS Motor Company has rolled out a special edition of its Ronin commuter ahead of the festive season. Called the TVS Ronin Festive Edition, the model comes in a new Midnight Blue color with contrasting fluorescent green stripes running from the fuel tank to the side panel. Based on the top-end variant, this special edition is priced at Rs 1.72 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking windows have been opened nationwide.
Unlike the standard version, the TVS Ronin Festive Edition features a blacked-out flyscreen positioned just above the LED headlight. The bike comes equipped with an all-LED lighting system, adjustable levers, a USB charger, and a single-pod LCD with Bluetooth connectivity.
Powering the new special edition Ronin is the same 225.9cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The motor delivers a claimed power of 20.1bhp and 19.93Nm of torque. Its suspension setup consists of an upside-down (USD) fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock unit. The forks are painted in gold. The special edition also comes with a dual-channel ABS system offering two modes – Urban and Rain.
Recently, TVS also reduced the price of the Ronin’s SS base variant by Rs 15,000. After the price cut, the entry-level variant costs Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices of the DS, TD, and TD Special Edition variants remain unchanged.
The TVS Raider 125 has also become more affordable with the introduction of a new drum variant, priced at Rs 84,469 (ex-showroom). It is offered in two paint schemes, namely, Striking Red and Wicked Black. The new variant features a 130mm drum brake instead of the 240mm disc brakes available on other variants. The Raider is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 11.4bhp and 11.2Nm of torque. The commuter comes equipped with an LED headlight, multiple ride modes, and an LCD instrument cluster.
