Hyundai Motor India entered the sub-4 metre SUV segment with the Venue in May 2019. Initially, the model lineup was introduced in five trims and three engine options: 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol, and 1.4L diesel. However, the diesel engine was replaced by a 1.5L diesel unit with the implementation of Phase 2 BS6 emission standards in March 2020. The Venue received its first mid-life update in 2022, featuring a slightly improved design and some additional features. Now, the subcompact SUV is ready for a generation change, set to take place in 2025. Read: Hyundai Creta EV Interior Details Revealed In New Spy Images
The second-generation Hyundai Venue will undergo comprehensive changes inside and out. Recent spy images reveal that the subcompact SUV will feature a newly designed front grille, headlamps with new lighting elements, tweaked front and rear bumpers, LED DRLs similar to those on the Casper EV, and slightly updated taillamp clusters. The test mule spotted was equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels fitted with 215/60 MRF tyres.
Significant upgrades will be made to the interior as well. The Venue’s Level 1 ADAS suite is expected to be upgraded to Level 2. Similar to the Creta, the 2025 Hyundai Venue might feature a dual-screen setup – one serving as the infotainment system and the other as the instrument cluster. The higher trims of the subcompact SUV could also receive a panoramic sunroof.
No changes are expected under the hood. The new Hyundai Venue will continue to offer the 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (83PS/114Nm), 1.0L turbo petrol (120PS/172Nm), and 1.5L diesel (116PS/250Nm) engine options. The transmissions will also be carried over from the current generation, which includes a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, and a 7-speed DCT unit.
The new Venue will be the first Hyundai vehicle to roll out from the brand’s new Talegaon facility. Production is likely to begin in the second half of 2025, possibly around October.
