Samsung sent a notice via the SmartThings app that some older Galaxy phones running Android 12, such as the Galaxy S10, have experienced a bootloop issue. Bootloop is a term that refers to a device getting stuck in a process that restarts itself continuously. From several reports online, here is the list of phones that faced the issue after installing the SmartThings app.

  • Galaxy M51
  • Galaxy S10 Lite
  • Galaxy S10e
  • Galaxy S10

Samsung said that after finding the issue with the update, it has since pulled that update from the application store. It also confirmed that it is working on a solution with urgency. It apologized for causing this issue and asked affected people to carry their devices to the nearest Samsung service center to get their phones serviced.

According to reports, Samsung’s service center engineers can easily wipe the data on your phone to get it to boot up again. Apparently, it takes anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes. However, we can’t confirm this from our side. If you are facing a similar issue, you should visit a Samsung-authorized service center.
