The Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV’s online auction closed with a winning bid of Rs 1.11 crore from Delhi-based Aakash Minda. Over 10,900 people participated in the auction during the last two days. The entire bidding amount will be donated to the Naandi Foundation. Aakash was also the winner of the first auction for the Thar 3-door off-road SUV, which took place in 2022. The Nebula Blue model of the SUV, with VIN 0001, was handed over to Minda in New Delhi on 8th October 2024. The delivered Thar Roxx comes with a special badge and Anand Mahindra’s signature.
The first delivered unit of the Thar Roxx is the fully-loaded, top AX7L diesel automatic variant with 4X4 capabilities. Under the hood, it features a 2.2L diesel engine that delivers 175bhp and 370Nm. The diesel 4X2 variants come with a 152bhp and 330Nm version of this engine. The new Mahindra off-road SUV is also available with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine that produces 162bhp and 330Nm with the manual gearbox and 177bhp and 380Nm with automatic transmission.
The 4X4 version of the Mahindra Thar Roxx comes equipped with the ‘Intelliturn’ and ‘Smart Crawl’ functions, which enable it to make sharp turns by locking the rear inner wheel with steering movement and an off-road cruise control system, respectively. The SUV’s top-end AX7L variant offers exclusive features such as a cooled glove box, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front seats, a powered 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, power-folding ORVMs, a blind spot monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Thar Roxx model lineup has four 4X4 variants – MX5 MT, AX5L AT, AX7L MT, and AX7L AT – priced at Rs 18.79 lakh, Rs 20.99 lakh, Rs 20.99 lakh, and Rs 22.49 lakh, respectively. The SUV’s 4X2 variants are available within a price range of Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.
