Harry Brook makes history, becomes first batter to score hundreds in four… | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: England’s batter Harry Brook has achieved a remarkable feat in the world of cricket. He has become the first batsman to score a hundred in four successive Test matches played in Pakistan. Brook achieved this extraordinary accomplishment during the third day of the first Test against Pakistan.
Brook had scored three centuries during his previous visit to Pakistan in 2022, and on Wednesday, he added a record-equalling fourth, further cementing his place in the history books.
Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis, David Warner, and Kane Williamson are among the batters who have scored four consecutive Test centuries against Pakistan. However, Harry Brook’s achievement stands out as he is the only player to accomplish this feat on Pakistan soil.
Brook crafted a stunning 141* off 173 balls on the flat surface at Multan Cricket Stadium, forming a massive 243-run partnership with Joe Root (176*).
This stands as the highest partnership for England on Pakistan soil, surpassing the 233-run stand by Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett for the first wicket in Rawalpindi in 2022.
Additionally, Brook and Root’s partnership set a new record for the highest 4th wicket stand for England against Pakistan, overtaking the 233-run partnership by Alastair Cook and Paul Collingwood at Lord’s in 2006.
England cruised to 492-3 at stumps on Day 3 and now trailed Pakistan by 64 runs through its usual “Bazball” aggressive batting.
