Mahindra is preparing for an onslaught of electric SUVs, starting with its first ‘Born Electric’ model, the BE.05. It will be followed by an electric version of the XUV700 in an SUV Coupe body style. The upcoming XUV.e9 will be offered with the same electric powertrain as the BE.05. However, the latest reports suggest that it is likely to be rear-wheel drive only, with a single electric motor powering the rear axle. New images of the XUV.e9 in production-ready form reveal a stylish SUV Coupe with striking LED DRLs and a continuous light bar at the front. The car has black plastic trim around the wheel arches that house stylish dual-tone alloy wheels. It also has flush-fitting door handles. Inside, the XUV.e9 has a massive screen incorporating three 12.3-inch displays. The screen is said to have Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive (LOCA) bonding and an oleophobic coating. Images also reveal a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the centre. The rest of the interior will be similar to the XUV700. Source:Autocar India
