Producer Naga Vamsi, in an interview, made some remarks about movie ticket prices and has now become the subject of heavy trolling. He is receiving criticism for his lack of understanding about the incomes of the common public.
He said that spending Rs 1500 for a movie is not a big deal. He wondered whether people can’t afford such a simple amount. Since then, his comments have become the subject of memes and trolls.
Naga Vamsi is producing many films under his Sithara Entertainments banner. The super rich producer appears to lack understanding of the lower middle class and middle-class incomes.
People question: if one family of three spends Rs 1500 per movie, what would be the amount if they watched three or four movies in a month? They also inquire as to whether people should limit their viewing to “Big Hero” movies exclusively. He was defending the high ticket prices for “Devara”.
Naga Vamsi is not the only producer in Tollywood who makes irreverent comments when it comes to hiking ticket prices and budgets.
