Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 Leaked – Production Model

The production-ready version of the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 motorcycle has been leaked ahead of its public debut at EICMA 2024. The international two-wheeler exhibition will be held at Fiera Milano – Rho, Milan, Italy, from 7th to 10th November. It’s essentially a scrambler based on the Interceptor 650 roadster. Painted in bright yellow and black with a bluish seat, the bike features a retro-classic round LED headlight along with a peanut-shaped fuel tank. It has a number badge on the side and a single-piece seat setup with a tubular grab rail.

The handlebar appears to be borrowed from its sibling – the RE Interceptor 650. The spotted model has been assembled with dual-sport tyres and spoked rims. At the front and rear, the scrambler has 18-inch and 17-inch wheels, respectively. The rear profile sports a differently designed taillight and turn indicators. Unlike the Interceptor 650, which has a twin exhaust setup, the scrambler will feature a two-in-one exhaust.

In terms of features, the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 will offer a circular instrument cluster, which could be a TFT unit for higher trims. Similar to the RE Himalayan 450, this new scrambler is likely to come with switchable ABS (anti-lock braking system).

At the heart of the Royal Enfield Bear 650 will be the same 648cc, oil/air-cooled, parallel-twin engine sourced from the RE Interceptor 650. The motor delivers a peak power of 47bhp and 52.3Nm of torque. The scrambler will be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.

In the company’s product lineup, the new Royal Enfield Bear 650 will sit above the 650 twins, with which it shares design elements, engine, and components. This means it will surely be priced at a premium over its donor siblings. We expect it to cost between Rs 3.4 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The official price announcement will be made at Motoverse 2024 in Goa, following its global debut at this year’s EICMA.
