The new Kia Carnival went on sale just a month ago. With comprehensive design changes and feature upgrades, the Limousine trim has been priced at Rs 63.90 lakh. Compared to its predecessor, the fourth-generation model is significantly more expensive due to its CBU (Completely Built Up Unit) route. The 7-seater luxury MPV comes with a single 2.2L diesel engine that produces 193bhp and 441Nm. While its power has been reduced by 7bhp, the torque gets a boost of 1Nm compared to the previous generation.
The oil burner is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, delivering power to the front wheels. The company has now confirmed that the new Kia Carnival is 0.95kmpl more fuel-efficient than its predecessor. With a 72-litre fuel tank, it offers a claimed mileage of 14.85kmpl. The MPV’s previous version offered a fuel efficiency of 13.9kmpl.
In India, the new Carnival is being offered only in two colour options – Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl. The MPV comes with two dual-tone interior themes, namely Tuscan and Umber, and Navy and Misty Gray. The second-row captain seats have adjustable leg support along with heating and ventilation functions. Read: New Kia Carens Facelift, Carens EV Launch Timeline
