Mahindra Scorpio Boss Edition Revealed

Aiming to commemorate the Diwali season, Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced a special edition of its popular Scorpio Classic SUV. Called the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, the limited edition receives a few cosmetic enhancements and interior updates over the regular model. Its prices are yet to be revealed by the carmaker. The standard Scorpio Classic SUV model lineup comes in four variants – S, S 9-seater, S 11 7-seater, and S 11 – priced at Rs 13.62 lakh, Rs 13.87 lakh, Rs 17.42 lakh, and Rs 17.42 lakh, respectively. So, what’s special about the newly-launched Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition? This limited edition features dark chrome treatment on the front grille and bumper extender, complemented by a silver skid plate. You will also notice dark chrome on the bonnet scoop, fog lamp assembly surrounds, headlamps, taillamps, and door handles. Mahindra has also offered some additional accessories with the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, including a blacked-out rear bumper protector, door visors, and carbon-fibre finished ORVMs.

Mahindra Scorpio Boss Edition Revealed

The all-black seat upholstery and dual-tone black and beige dashboard theme enhance its sporty appeal. The carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed the variants on which the new Scorpio Boss Edition will be based. We expect it to be the top-end S11 trim, which comes equipped with features such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, phone mirroring, steering-mounted controls, a faux leather steering wheel, remote central locking, auto door lock, cruise control, etc.

No changes will be made to its powertrain. Similar to the regular model, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition will be powered by the 2.2L diesel engine, delivering a maximum power of 132PS and 300Nm of torque. The transmission will also remain the same – a 6-speed manual unit.
