I was sitting there and imagining how it would have been to be chauffeur-driven in this back in the times of the Maharaja.

On the occasion of Dussehra, thought it would be apt to share a few images and a one of a kind experience from 2021.
I got to see this car for the first time at the Federation of Historic Vehicles Drive for Wildlife Week on the 3rd of October 2021. From the first moment the car arrived I was in awe at the beautiful car. A closer look at the Daimler made my jaws drop at the attention to detail and the works done to maintain it. From Semaphores to the duel tone paint job, I couldn’t just take my eyes off among the cars around.
While I was immersed and completely awestruck, I heard a voice interrupt my little daydream. I believe it was KPS, who had asked me if I wanted to see the engine bay. I was definitely in for it and without hesitation came out a “Oh yes!”. Once the hood was open and after a few minutes of ogling at that massive engine, we started talking about starting a Carbureted car after a long period of dormancy. After that was a special moment when he just walked to the back of the car and opened the rear doors to me. “Have a seat inside” he said. I was shocked for 3 seconds as I definitely felt I wasn’t worthy to sit there, a seat where the Maharaja was driven around and many other prominent people had been in the same car.
I removed the camera bag, placed it aside, and went ahead to sit inside. It was nothing short of magical. The red leather interior made you feel more than just royal, the comfort of the seats is still unmatched by anything I have ever experienced. I was sitting there and imagining how it would have been to be chauffeur-driven in this back in the times of the Maharaja. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. This car will definitely leave me speechless for the rest of my life!
Thanks a lot, KPS, for this experience, a big heartfelt Thank You!
Happy Dussehra to All!
