As far as we can tell, Samsung’s brand-new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition won’t be coming to the Western market. Unfortunately, this probably means we’ll never get our hands on this device.
We haven’t seen any real photos yet, unless you count Samsung’s touched-up renders. The good news is, we can now check out the real Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition from nearly every angle thanks to a series of GIFs and live photos captured and shared by ZDNet Korea. Check them out below.
Just as Samsung said, the new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is slightly larger and thinner than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. These form factor differences are clearly visible in the GIFs above and photos below.
The Special Edition foldable phone measures 157.9 x 142.6 x 4.9mm when unfolded. It’s available only in one color, the one you see above, which Samsung calls Black Shadow. It has a stripe pattern embedded in the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back panel.
Samsung’s new Special Edition foldable phone will go on sale in Korea on October 28 via its own e-shop, a few retail partners, and the nation’s three mobile carriers. The phone costs $300 more than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 with the same amount of storage but features 16GB of RAM. However, it lacks S Pen support.
