In the next couple of years, we will witness new-generation versions of India’s top 5 SUVs and cars from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra, Toyota, and Renault. The Indo-Japanese automaker is all set to introduce the fourth-generation Maruti Dzire in the first week of November 2024. This time around, the compact sedan will come with the new 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine sourced from the new Swift. Its design will be significantly revised, as will the interior.
Hyundai Motors India has planned the new-gen Venue launch for early 2025. The subcompact SUV will feature an all-new design, more features, and tech, while the engine setup is likely to remain unchanged. Compared to the current generation, the new one will have a wider, rectangular grille, a taller front bumper, and new horizontally placed taillamps with updated LED detailing, along with a few more changes. Fresh spy images confirm that the new Hyundai Venue will come with an ADAS suite, which is likely to be reserved for the top-end trims.
The new-generation Toyota Fortuner will debut by the end of 2024, followed by its market launch in early 2025. Comprehensive changes will be made to its platform, engine, design, and interior. The 2025 Fortuner will be based on the TNGA-F platform and come with a mild hybrid powertrain, including a 2.8L diesel engine, a 48V setup, and an electric motor. Features such as an ADAS suite, vehicle stability control, and a hydraulic steering system will be on board.
Next year, Renault will introduce the new-generation Duster to challenge the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate. The next-gen version of the SUV will offer more features, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, ADAS, and more. Under the hood, the 2025 Renault Duster will feature a new strong hybrid powertrain with an AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
The next-generation Mahindra Bolero is planned for 2026-2027. With this update, the rugged SUV will switch to a new platform that will also be used for upcoming Mahindra SUVs and pickup trucks.
