Honda has confirmed the Elevate EV launch for 2026. The electric SUV will be underpinned by a modified version of its ICE counterpart and will feature some EV-specific design elements, including a closed-off grille, revised bumper, and new headlamps. As of now, there is no information on its powertrain. However, the Honda Elevate EV is expected to come with a battery pack ranging between 50kWh and 60kWh, with a front-wheel-mounted electric motor. Once launched, it will compete with the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar. The three-row SUV could be offered with 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L strong hybrid powertrain options.

The new-generation Honda City will be the second product to be based on the PF2 architecture, which is likely to promise best-in-class cabin space and boot area. The sedan will undergo comprehensive changes inside and out while retaining the existing engines. The all-new City’s launch is slated for 2028.

After the discontinuation of the WR-V, Honda currently has no offering in the subcompact SUV segment. Considering the segment’s growth, the Japanese automaker has planned a new sub-4 metre SUV, set to arrive in 2029. Like Honda’s 7-seater SUV and the new City, it will be built on the PF2 modular platform and come with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine. Honda will also introduce one of its global EVs in India in 2029. Details of this model are not available at this time.
