Hyderabad: Twenty IndiGo Airlines flights, including two Hyderabad-bound and two departing from Hyderabad, were disrupted by security alerts, promting the airline to implement standard safety protocols. Passengers were safely disembarked as part of these measures.
Although the specific nature of the security threats remains unclear, investigations are ongoing.
The impacted flights included 6E 362 (Hyderabad to Goa), 6E 334 (Kolkata to Hyderabad), 6E 149 (Hyderabad to Bagdogra), and 6E 304 (Kochi to Hyderabad). Some were directed to isolation bays, while others returned to their origin as a precaution.
Following thorough safety inspections, all affected flights were cleared to resume operations.
Disruptions were also reported on routes serving Bengaluru, Jodhpur, and Pune. “At IndiGo, the safety and security of our customers and crew are our top priorities. We appreciate our passengers’ patience during these procedures,” the airline stated.
