NEW DELHI: Vistara Airways announced that Flight UK829, bound from Delhi to Hyderabad, had to divert to Jaipur.
The flight was initially scheduled to travel from Delhi to Hyderabad, but unforeseen circumstances necessitated the change in route.
The airline shared the update on its official Twitter account, stating, “Flight UK829 from Delhi to Hyderabad (DEL-HYD) has been diverted to Jaipur (JAI) and is expected to arrive in Jaipur at 0830 hrs.Please stay tuned for further updates.”
This comes a day after big Indian carriers got threats for over 80 flights, after a brief respite on Wednesday.
Under the newly changed protocol, such mass threats from the same handle are treated as non-specific to minimise disruptions by not requiring diversions. “We confirm that a few of Vistara’s flights operating on Oct 24, 2024, received security threats on social media.We immediately alerted the relevant authorities and are following all security procedures as directed by them. At Vistara, the safety and security of our customers, crew, and aircraft are of utmost importance,” said a Vistara spokesperson.
