Washington Sundar achieved a significant milestone in his Test cricket career by securing his first 10-wicket haul against New Zealand. Sundar, who had missed the first Test matchmade a strong impact in the second Test by taking seven wickets in the first innings and three in the second innings.
In the first innings, Sundar delivered his best performance by taking seven wickets, dismantling the New Zealand batting lineup.He expressed his joy, saying, “Really grateful for this day. I don’t think I will ever forget this day.”
In the second innings, Sundar continued his excellent form by taking another three wickets, further weakening New Zealand’s top order.
Sundar has played nine innings for India, securing a total of 16 wickets, with 10 of those coming from the ongoing match in Pune. He has also played against England and Australiawhere he took two wickets in five innings against England and four wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
