NELLORE: One person was killed and seven others suffered injuries in a collision between a truck and an Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus on Sunday on the national highway at Mocherla in the Gudluru mandal of Nellore district.
The victim, identified as bus driver Vinod, lost his life in the early morning hours when a TSRTC bus traveling from Hyderabad to Tirupati collided with a truck.Seven others suffered severe injuries, with some of the injured passengers reported to be in critical condition.
The collision occurred in the early hours near Mocherla village, involving a luxury bus from Miryalaguda Depot and a truck carrying a grain load. The impact resulted in the front part of the TSRTC bus being crushed.
Sub-inspector Prasad from Gudlur stated, “Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading to this tragic incident on the national highway.”
The seven injured passengers, with three in critical condition, were promptly transferred to Nellore Apollo Hospital for medical attention.
