Once the shield was on, I could cruise well above 100kmph without any of the aforementioned strains.

I had a windshield installed on my Gen-3 within the first month of purchase. It has been 6 months now with 6000km on the clock and the difference with and without the windshield is night and day.
For ex: I did a short 180km ride to Statue of Unity and back (from Vadodara) and did the same route after I got the windshield installed.
Without the shield, above 80kmph, there is a lot of windblast on the chest and abdomen area directly and even onto the shoulders. When riding for more than 1 hour straight, you will start feeling this strain on your lower back and arms as you tend to grip on to the bike tighter than usual.
Once the shield was on, I could cruise well above 100kmph without any of the aforementioned strains. This did increase the wind noise coming onto the helmet, but when you wear earplugs, they manage to do a good job of not letting that be a bother.
The one I got installed is from Motocare and costed about 2k and has done its job really well so far.
Personally, I also felt that it adds more appeal to the bike and gives it a GT feel aesthetically.
