NEW DELHI: A Hyderabad court has issued an interim order preventing Telangana Minister Konda Surekha from making further comments that could defame BRS working president K T Rama Rao.
This order follows interlocutory applications filed by Rama Rao regarding his defamation case against Surekha’s recent remarks, which sparked controversy.
The court also instructed several media outlets, including newspapers, TV channels, and social media platforms, to remove defamatory articles and videos related to the issue.
BRS legal cell member Lalitha Reddy stated, “The interlocutory applications are posted for the next hearing on November 11, while the main suit is posted for November 21.”
Surekha could not be reached for comments.
Actor Nagarjuna has also filed a defamation complaint against Surekha, as her comments involved his son, Naga Chaitanya.
Both Nagarjuna and Rama Rao have recorded their statements in court regarding their defamation cases.
