In their latest attempt to fight illegal immigration, the United States has deported a group of Indian nationals back to their home country. The Indian government helped conduct this mass deportation via a charter flight.
In their public statement, the US authorities emphasized the importance of stopping illegal migration and human smuggling through a close collaboration with India.

The number of immigrants illegally entering the US has drastically increased in recent times. So much so that it is one of the biggest issues in this year’s presidential election.
Since June, The US has deported more than 160,000 people on nearly 500 international flights. While there is a drastic drop in the illegal crossing on the southern border, the smugglers have found other means to let the immigrants into the US.

The deportations will likely increase if Donald Trump wins the presidential race. He is far more stringent than Kamala Harris and promises to deport millions of illegal immigrants if he comes into power.
Trump’s camp claims that there are over 10 million people who are residing in the US illegally. This recent batch of deportation shows that the US authorities are cracking down on those trying to enter the country and aren’t taking any risks in an election season.
