Ram Gopal Varma’s protégé Ajay Bhupathi made an impressive debut with RX 100 and he went on to direct films like Maha Samudram and Mangalavaram. All his films are rooted with native emotions and happen in rural backdrops. Mangalavaram proved that he is a technically sound director. After a long wait, Ajay Bhupathi decided to work with Virat Karna, the youngster who made his debut with Peddha Kapu. Ajay Bhupathi narrated the script to Dhruv Vikram and the response was positive but after a long wait, Ajay Bhupathi decided to go with Virat Karna.
The film is titled Karna and it is an emotional friendship drama. The film has a packed action along with strong emotional drama. Karna is also the story of three friends and the pre-production work of the film is currently happening. The shoot of the film starts early next year. Akhanda producer Miryala Ravindar Reddy is on board to bankroll the project. Made on a massive budget, Karna will release next year. Ajay Bhupathi is also working on the script of Mangalavaram 2 and the shoot starts next year.
