Vijayawada: Senior neuroscientist Dr NV Sundarachary has been appointed as principal of Govt Medical College (GMC), Guntur. Dr Sundarachary is presently serving as principal of GMC, Machilipatnam and has been shifted to Guntur while incumbent principal of GMC, Guntur Dr TTK Reddy has been shifted to Machilipatnam.
Dr Sundarachary is a globally renowned neuro-physician who headed the neurology department at GMC, Guntur for about two decades. He was chiefly responsible for GMC getting six PG seats in neurology wing at GMC, which was the highest in one college in both AP and Telangana. Students of Govt Medical College (GMC), Guntur are elated on Dr Sundarachary’s return to the college as the principal.
Similarly, state govt appointed senior orthopedic surgeon Dr SSV Ramana as superintendent of GGH, Guntur by shifting the incumbent superintendent Dr Y Kiran Kumar as HOD, surgery department, GGH, Guntur.
State has also shifted superintendent of GGH, Vijayawada, Dr D Venkateswara Rao as additional DME in the office of DME and had anesthesia professor Dr A Venkateswara Rao as superintendent of GGH, Vijayawada.
