Tirupati: The joy of a young resident of Puchakayalamada in Kurnool district knew bounds after he received an electric auto, presented to him by chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday.
During his visit to Puchakayalamada, Naidu took part in the NTR Bharosa pension distribution programme and also addressed a Praja Vedika meeting, during which he interacted with locals.It was during this interaction that he promised to provide an electric autorickshaw to Ashok, son of a local woman, Talari Gangamma.
Within 24 hours of his visit to Puchakayalamada, Naidu fulfilled his promise as local MLA KE Shyam Babu and district collector Ranjit Basha presented Ashok a brand new electric autorickshaw worth 3.8 lakh.
The chief minister also fulfilled another promise of extending financial assistance of 1 lakh to a woman, identified as Kavitha, to meet her bedridden husband’s medical expenses. Both Ashok and Kavitha thanked the chief minister for addressing their grievances and extending support immediately.
