Royal Enfield Bear 650 Scrambler is the next major upcoming offering from the Chennai-based bike maker, set to make its global debut on 5th November 2024. Its launch date is yet to be announced, though we expect prices will be revealed at this year’s Motoverse in Goa. It’s a three-day motorcycle event scheduled to take place from 22nd to 24th November. Ahead of its official arrival, the company has released a teaser video revealing some of its design details. Check Out: Royal Enfield Electric Bike Revealed In Clear Images
The forthcoming RE Bear 650 is essentially the off-road-focused and premium version of the Interceptor 650. The teaser reveals that the bike will feature a circular headlamp, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank with black and red graphics, and a raised handlebar. It will be assembled with 19/17-inch spoked wheels shod with dual-purpose tires, a single-piece seat, and a single exhaust setup. There will also be a single-pod instrument cluster, similar to the one in the RE Himalayan 450. The new RE 650cc scrambler will offer a more upright riding position.
Powering the Royal Enfield Bear 650 will be the 648cc, oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that powers the RE 650 twins. The motor delivers a claimed power of 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. The bike will have a 6-speed gearbox for transmission duties, along with a slip-and-assist clutch. The RE Bear 650 will feature upside-down front forks in a gold finish and dual shock absorbers at the rear. It will be the first 650cc RE to come with a rear monoshock suspension setup. Stopping power will come from front and rear disc brakes.
Prices for the RE Bear 650 are expected to be around 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Official details of the scrambler will be revealed in the coming days. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
