TCS inks 15-year deal to revamp Ireland’s pension system

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had signed a 15-year contract with Ireland’s Department of Social Protection (DSP) to implement and manage the country’s auto enrolment retirement savings scheme, known as “My Future Fund.” This initiative will offer a digital pension enrolment platform, anticipated to benefit 800,000 workers across Ireland.

Leveraging its TCS BaNCS platform, TCS will administer enrolment, record management, and benefit distribution, with services run through its global delivery centre in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. The project follows Ireland’s recent enactment of the Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System Bill, a milestone in the nation’s social protection framework.

Minister for social protection, Heather Humphreys, praised TCS’s experience in managing similar large-scale programs, such as the UK’s National Employment Savings Trust (NEST). “Their experience will be invaluable in ensuring My Future Fund meets high standards and timely delivery,” she said.

TCS’s Vivekanand Ramgopal expressed pride in supporting Ireland’s pension system transformation, while Deepak Chaudhari, TCS Ireland’s Country Head, emphasised the project’s economic benefits for Donegal, including job growth and skills development. TCS, with over 23,000 employees in the UK and Ireland, strengthens its role as a leader in IT and social service transformation across these regions.
