No alteration in capital city designs, says Narayana

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh municipal administration and urban development minister Narayana has clarified that there will be no alterations in the construction designs for Amaravati‘s capital city. He confirmed that artificial intelligence (AI) technology will be utilised in the capital’s development, adding that the tendering process for these projects is set to conclude between Nov 15 and Dec 31.
Due to the expiration of previous tender agreements, govt is proceeding carefully to avoid any legal complications. The minister stated that construction activities, overseen by the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), will begin in Jan 2025. Minister Narayana’s statements came during a workshop held at the Amaravati Convention Hall in Vijayawada, where a new “Profiling App” was introduced for the staff of the Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA). Addressing the audience as chief guest, he explained that the app aims to gather comprehensive data on MEPMA’s 28.56 lakh members across urban regions to ensure more targeted support for their welfare and development.
The minister reiterated that despite financial challenges, govt remains committed to progressing with development initiatives.
