Hyderabad: Throwing down the gauntlet at BRS working president KT Rama Rao, two Congress leaders – MLC Balmoori Venkat and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav – on Wednesday did a ‘six-panel drug test‘ and demanded that KTR too volunteer for the test.
“We will make public our drug test reports as and when it is given to us. We were told the corporate hospital will send the samples to the govt testing lab. Since KTR’s close aide tested positive for drug in Janwada farmhouse rave party, he (KTR) should prove that he is clean of drugs and clear the doubts among the people of Telangana,” Venkat said.
The MLC also slammed BRS MLA P Kaushik Reddy for his allegations against the Congress govt.
“He is doing it under the instructions of BRS bosses only to divert the attention of people from the Janawada party. He wants to please the BRS bosses by saving the big fish involved in the rave party and who were close to KTR,” Venkat alleged. “While CM Revanth Reddy was trying to make Telangana a drug-free state, KTR’s brother-in-law held a party with drugs and foreign liquor.,” said Yadav.
