ELURU: In mishap that took place in Eluru district, a person was killed and six others sustained injuries in fire crackers explosion.
Two person Durgasi Sudhakar(30) and Tabeti Sai were carrying fire crackers on a scooty. When they reached Ganganamma temple in Thuru Veedhi in Eluru town, the vehicle met a speed breaker and firecrackers in the bag exploded due to friction.
Sudhakar who was on the driving seat died on the spot and the pillion driver Sai sustained severe injuries. S Sasi, K Srinivasa Rao, Khadar, Satish and Suresh who were standing on the side of the road were also injured in the explosion.
Eluru DSP, Sravan Kujmar and Eluru One Town Inspector Satyannaryana have rushed to the spot and shifted to Government General Hospital, Eluru.
