Vijayawada: A four-year-old girl named B Ruhika died after falling from a fourth-floor window at a hotel in Vijayawada on Monday. The accident occurred while the family, returning from a pilgrimage to Srisailam, was en route to their home in Visakhapatnam. They took an overnight halt at the Minerva Grand Hotel in Vijayawada’s Machavaram area, planning to visit the Kanaka Durga Temple the following morning.
According to police reports, Badri Nagaraju, his wife, and their two children — Ruhika and her brother — checked into a room on the hotel’s fourth floor. On Monday morning, Ruhika and her brother were playing hide-and-seek when she opened the window while looking for a hiding spot. Tragically, she slipped and fell, succumbing to her injuries.
The incident occurred just an hour before the family was scheduled to check out. The devastating loss of their young daughter left Nagaraju’s family in profound grief.
