In Andra Pradesh’s Vijayawada, several roads were waterlogged after heavy rain. In Vijayawada’s Rama Krishna Puram area, several cars have been inundated. Police and NDRF teams are rescuing those affected and moving them to rehabilitation centres.
At least eight people have lost their lives in rain-related incidents in Andhra Pradesh. Five of these victims died in landslides at Mogalrajapuram in Vijayawada.
