Hyderabad: The 19th Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival returns to Hyderabad’s Taramati Baradari Cultural Complex from November 6-10.
Curated by Mohammad Ali Baig, the festival honours his father’s theatrical legacy with an impressive lineup of Indian and international artists. Notable performers include Ila Arun, Nadira Babbar, Ashish Vidyarthi, K K Raina, Himani Shivpuri, Rajendra Gupta, and UK’s Alexander Wright.
Highlights include Ila Arun and KK Raina in ‘Miracle on Matunga Street’, Ashish Vidyarthi’s stand-up performance, and Nadira Babbar’s Kashmiri love story ‘Farida’. A special tribute concert by Zila Khan and Mohammad Ali Baig, ‘An Ode to Motherhood’, honours the festival co-founder Begum Razia Baig, who passed away this year.
The Master classes by theatre veterans also complement the performances.
