During a cell phone recovery event held at the Warangal Commissionerate office, the police commissioner distributed recovered cell phones to their owners. He mentioned that a special unit has been established in each police station, along with the City Crime Station (CCS), to track lost and stolen cell phones. He urged the public to file a complaint on the CEIR portal as soon as a phone is lost, which will assist in its recovery.

Warangal: Commissioner of Police Amber Kishor Jha on Friday handed over recovered stolen mobilestolen mobile s to their rightful owners after detecting them with the help of Central Equipment Identity Registration Portal (CEIR).
The police commissioner handed over the cell phones during the cell phone recovery mela organized by City Crime Station(CCS) at Warangal Commissionerate office. A special unit had been set up in each police station along with the CCS for tracking lost and stolen cell phones, he said, adding that whenever anyone loses a cell phone they should immediately file a complaint on the CEIR portal so that it could be traced.
“So far 8226 complaints have been filed on the CEIR portal under Warangal Police Commissionerate, out of which 4931 cell phones have been identified and 3257 cell phones have been seized and handed over to the cell phone owners,”he said.
