Actual service (regular stuff like Oil/Filter replacement) takes just 30 min.

Key updates from 40k km service done @Harsha, Pallavaram:
- ECU software updated (please check the image below) – It’s unfortunate that these updates don’t get done automatically and you need to have an interest in your machine and ready to invest time as well.
- Did WB and WA outside – Technician didn’t align things properly and have to push to re-do it. Refer v1 and v2 pics below.
- Realized that the length of the wiper blades are different. Driver side is longer and Co-driver side is shorter.
- Wiper blade rubber torn at the tip for 1cm in both wipers. Unfortunately this tiny rubber costs Rs. 1500
- Rubber parts tend to break after few years – Learnt existence of an “O-ring” kind of rubber part in front disc brake assembly, started to tear but can sustain till 50k km, hence not replaced (refer pic4 below).
- Battery cranking voltage has started depleting from the levels of 12v to 9.5v (3 yrs now). Time to change battery in 12 months
- Brake pad thickness of 7mm (threshold to change: 1.5mm) and Brake shoe thickness of 3.5mm (threshold to change: 1mm)
- Service cost of Rs. 17k (Rs. 15,686 at TAS + Rs. 1,298 for WB and WA
- Opted TGloss mech-care in value added services (Rs. 754)
Effort vs Benefits:
- Dedicated 4.5 hrs but lessons learnt.
- Actual service (regular stuff like Oil/Filter replacement) takes just 30 min
- Be attentive to get value for the money paid (wondering what would be the stuff done for folks opting for home pickup and drop)
- Need to watch out how “Left pulling issue” behave after the WA done outside of TAS
