Powering the 2024 Maruti Dzire will be the Swift’s 1.2L, 3-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, which produces 80bhp and 112Nm of torque. This gasoline unit is claimed to have up to 12 percent less carbon footprint. While its power figure is 8bhp less than its predecessor (the 1.2L, 4-cylinder K-Series engine), its mileage is nearly 3kmpl higher. With the same powertrain as the Swift, the new Dzire is likely to offer a fuel efficiency of 24.8kmpl to 25.75kmpl. The 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes will be carried over from the current model.

One of the major additions to its feature list will be an electric sunroof, making the new Maruti Dzire the first vehicle in its category to offer this feature. There will also be a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch digital MID. Spy images reveal that the compact sedan will feature lighter shade upholstery and dashboard, along with automatic climate control, a blind spot monitor, automatic cruise control, and more advanced features.

Notable cosmetic changes will also be made to the Dzire. Its fourth-generation model will come with a newly designed grille, tweaked front and rear bumpers, taillamps with Y-shaped LED elements, sharply designed rectangular LED headlamps connected via a glossy black trim, a revised fog lamp assembly, and new diamond-cut alloy wheels.
