Guntur: GMC commissioner Puli Srinivasulu has directed superintendent of engineer (SE) Nagamalleswara Rao to place assistant executive engineer (AEE) Nagaveni under suspension.
The commissioner directed the SE to surrender AEE Nagaveni to ENC, public health for further action.
He also directed chief municipal health officer (CHMO) to place Bonthapadu area ward sanitation secretary B Bodaiah under suspension.
The commissioner inspected KVP Colony Anganwadi centre, KSRT School and found lack of drinking water and toilets.
He directed the officials to ready plan for construction of a library and proposal for construction of compound wall for SC burial ground in KVP Colony.
He wanted the officials to complete the pending works in Chowdavaram and KVP Colony by Nov 15.
Taking complaints against 194 ward secretariat sanitation secretary Bodaiah, the commissioner directed the CHMO to place him under suspension. He inspected urban health centre in Sivanagaraju Colony and directed the officials to provide best healthcare services to people.
He directed the officials to take measures to prevent leak of drinking water lines near Sanjeevaiah Nagar railway gate. He wanted the officials to complete the inter-connection works to prevent water leak.
With the local church authorities refusing to part with the land, the commissioner asked the engineering officials to lay the inter-connection pipeline along the side of the church.
