Skoda Kylaq SUV will have its world premiere tomorrow at an event in Mumbai. Aiming to create excitement among buyers, the carmaker has dropped a new TVC teaser revealing headlamp outline, ‘Kylaq’ badging at the rear and taillamps. It reads “The hero is all set to make its much-awaited entry! But the Skoda Kylaq is not alone. The action will be doubled when the dynamic duo of the Kylaq and Rohit Shetty arrive to thrill you on 6th November at 12:30pm Jio Cinema”. The front fascia of the new Skoda compact SUV has been adored by the brand’s signature radiator grille, new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs and sporty bumper. The blacked-out alloy wheels, squarish wheel arches, a shark fin antenna and roof rails in black finish give it a sporty appeal. It sports a massive rear bumper, pentagon-shaped taillamps with LED inserts, SKODA badging and a sculpted tailgate. The Kylaq is 3,995mm longer and has a 189mm ground clearance.
Skoda Kylaq Preview
Interior of the Skoda Kylaq will share a strong resemblance with the Kushaq. Its features are yet to be revealed, though the compact SUV is expected to come with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, MySkoda Connect suite, Type-C USB ports at the front and rear, adjustable rear AC vents and wireless charging.
On the safety front, the Kylaq is claimed to offer over 25 active and passive features including electronic brake distribution, six airbags, anti-lock braking system, rollover protection, traction and stability control, brake disc wiping, electronic differential lock, Isofix seats, motor slip regulation, multi-collision braking and passenger airbag deactivation.

The new Skoda compact SUV will come with a single 1.0L TSI petrol engine borrowed from the Kushaq. The motor pushes out a peak power of 115PS and 178Nm of torque. There will be two gearboxes on offer – 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The Kylaq will have the FWD (front-wheel drive) system.
